Keep on keeping on

 Keep on keeping on.

I never wanted it to come to this,
I’m a Jennyanydots.

A day’s hustle and bustle was all I wanted
Rolling my skirts up
Teaching music, crochet and personal and social development.

I didn’t want a war,
Friendly fire neurons blast consciousness with rattling blackness.
Then locked in, ill made mute, until post-ictal blether.

I don’t want hostilities,
In my sanctuary, but we don’t always get what we want.
So we keep on keeping on.

Half muttered petitions,
Barely spoken on my lips,
To her, the dispenser of dues.

Madness and moonlight

Moonlight and Madness

They used to think that moonlight made you mad
From fears of black and midnight hags dancing about
Blasted moors, sans their drawers.

The used to think that moonlight could transmogrify
Man to beast, lycanthropes emitting loud
Eerie howls, on the prowl.

They used to say the full moon had you raving
The lunatics at the asylum would make a clamour
Gazing incautiously, yelling raucously.

Now they say the lunar lunacy effect
Is just a fallacy, a relic from a bye gone age
Just a bleep, cos we can’t sleep

Reclaiming the 'C' word

Reclaiming the ‘C’ word
Va-gi-na
So clinical, so sterile
Etymologically speaking
Just part of an organ
A sheath for a pork sword
But …
C… C... C…
CUNT
Grose defined in 1785
"a nasty name for a nasty thing"
It’s Proto-Indo-European roots
‘Cu’.
Of goddess lineage; Cunda, Cunnit, Kunti, Kunta,
Of Cow
Of Queen
Of Latin Cuneus \wedge/
To Ken to know
Of Kin, our family
Of feCUNdity
CUNT more than a four letter word
It’s a word with a history.
Which I know and I doubt you do,
So it loses its power when used derogatorily.
To my ears you have just called me a Goddess,
I already knew that.
